Café Mambo opened its doors in 2003 and from the very beginning it was set out to be something special. Café Mambo is known for more than just its food. It’s a place where you feel like family; where locals gather to share stories, laughter and enjoy meals that taste like home. Where the aroma of fresh brewed coffee welcomes you in the morning, the smell of grilled meat and simmering sauces greets you at the door.

The restaurant has always been a gathering spot for the people of Sunshine. In the early years, it was a cozy refuge for families looking for a night out or for couples looking for a casual dinner. It’s a gathering place for birthdays, anniversaries and milestones. It’s the spot where couples have their first date, where families celebrate graduations and 18th birthdays, and where neighbours come together for impromptu catchups. Through it all, the heart of the restaurant has remained unchanged: a commitment to making every guest feel like part of the family.

Over time though, it became more than that. Café Mambo has become the heart of its people 

Now, more than two decades after we first opened our doors, Café Mambo still thrives in the centre of Sunshine. The hospitality landscape has changed in many ways, but this little corner of the neighbourhood remains a constant warm, welcoming, and always ready to serve a plate of something delicious, made with love.
